Parish Wellness

The parish nurse is a nurse who ministers to faith communities. A parish nurse is a unique, specially trained Registered Nurse who adheres to the Faith Community Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice developed by the American Nurse Association and the Health Ministries Association.

The Trinity parish nurse acts as integrator of faith and health, personal health counselor, referral advisor, coordinator of volunteers, developer of support groups, health advocate, and health educator.

The parish nurse, in collaboration with the pastoral staff and congregants, participates in the ongoing transformation of the faith community into a source of health and healing.
