Boy Scout Troop 15

The Troop's biggest Fund Raiser, Pine Straw Sales was finished up on March 12, when the boys delivered pine straw to nearby homeowners.

At the District Recognition Banquet, Troop 15 was designated as a 2010 Quality Unit. Again, this is a direct reflection of the Troop Leaders commitment to providing the best program in our Council.

March 20 was Scout Sunday at Trinity. The Troop's participation was well received.

Troop 15 conducted a Merit Badge Campout March 25-27 at Camp Sidney Dew. They focused on Wilderness and Aviation Merit Badges. March 30, the Troop began selling American Flags in an effort to raise more funds for Summer Camp.

At the April  Court of Honor 15 Scouts advanced in rank and another 35 earned Merit Badges. The Troop also hosted a Consignment Sale of camping gear. Sales here also went to the summer camp fund.

On April 15th, the Troop biked the Silver Comet Trail from Cedartown to Piedmont Alabama

Last night (5/5/2011) two Scouts, William Earl Jansson, and Daniel Webster Popham, passed their Boards of Review for Eagle rank. Paperwork is being submitted to National and the Eagle Awards will be presented at a later Court of Honor.

Troop 15 now serves over 60 Boy Scouts and their families.
