Become a member of Trinity United Methodist
Joining the church is a big decision, but it is not difficult or complicated. If you desire to become a professing member of Trinity, simply come forward to the altar rail after the sermon as we sing the Hymn of Invitation. The Pastor will ask you to affirm your belief in Jesus Christ. In addition, he will ask you to faithfully participate in the ministries of the church by your prayers, your presence, your gifts, your service, and your witness.
If you have not yet been baptized, the Pastor will be happy to administer this holy sacrament to you when you come forward to join the church. A person is eligible for Christian baptism at any age.
If you are already a baptized Christian, we will accept your baptism from another church or denomination. If you are presently a member of another church, we will be happy to contact the church where your name is on the roll and request the official transfer of your membership to Trinity UMC.
Baptized children who have not yet been confirmed as professing members are added to our Baptized membership roll. Children who have not yet been baptized are counted on our Constituent Roll. When children reach the sixth grade, they are eligible to become professing members of the church. Confirmation classes are offered annually for youth in the sixth grade and up.
