I have served as senior pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church since June 2008. Before coming to Cartersville, I pastored United Methodist congregations in Conyers, Hazlehurst, and Macon, Ga. I also served as editor of Georgia’s United Methodist newspaper, the Wesleyan Christian Advocate. I hold degrees from Young Harris College, The University of Georgia, and Emory University. I'm also the cartoonist behind “For Heaven’s Sake,” a nationally-syndicated weekly comic strip that appears in several newspapers, including The Daily Tribune News in Cartersville. “For Heaven’s Sake” can be seen at www.creators.com/comics/for-heavens-sake.html. Before entering the ministry, I worked as a full-time newspaper artist for The Macon Telegraph and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. I am currently a member of the National Cartoonists Society. I've been married to Karen since 1980. We have two sons: Daniel, who lives in Kennesaw; and Thomas, who lives with his wife Sara in Atlanta.

Please, call me Moose. No one but my mom calls me Michael. I have been at Trinity UMC since September 2007. I have a Masters degree in Youth Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary and an undergraduate degree in General Speech Communications from Valdosta State University. What all this really means is that I love to read and I know something about some things and will be paying off student loans until I am 80. I have been married since 2002 to my beautiful wife, Karen. We have two children, Elisabeth and one who we will be arriving later this year.

What a wonderful privilege it is to work at Trinity. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology with minors in sociology and ethnic studies received from the Univ. of Hawaii at Manoa in 1995. My background is in social services, administration and communication. I’m proud to be married to retired Navy Quartermaster Roy (Frank)lin Collum Jr. the wonderful man I married 25 years ago. We have two awesome daughters and a son-in-law. Melissa Ann & husband Giovanni Calderon reside in NJ and Katie Lynn is a 7th grader at Woodland Middle School.

I am a Cartersville native and a member of the Tabernacle Baptist church. I came to Trinity as financial secretary in July of 2001. Before that I owned a restaurant for 25 years. I have two grown children, Joannah and Scott. My hobbies are sewing, shopping, and traveling.

I moved to Georgia with my husband and children in1993. We have been members of Trinity UMC for 16 years. My husband, Mark, and I have been married for 22 years and have two children. Our daughter, Kelsi, is a freshman at Liberty University. Our son, Mitchell, is a WHS freshman. I am a member of the Prayer & Bible Study Sunday School, the chancel choir, and the Family Life Center steering committee. Mark and I started our own business 5 years ago -- H2O Equipment Service. I enjoy my famiy, yard work (garden), WHS band, camping, floral design, and reading.

I have been music director at Trinity United Methodist Church since the church was formed in 1983. Before coming to Trinity, I served congregations in Knoxville, Tenn.; Atlanta; and Cartersville. I taught public and private school music in Tennessee, Florida, and Georgia, and has been retired from teaching since 2001. I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in music education from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. I have one son, Colin, who lives in Commerce, Ga., with his wife Mandi and their twins, Drew and Meredith, and their daughter Courtney.

I have served Trinity as church pianist for over 22 years. I am originally from Cartersville, attended Cartersville High School, and graduated from Shorter College in 1979 with a degree in piano performance. After graduating from Shorter, Rosanne subsequently completed requirements to become a CPA and has worked in the carpet industry in that capacity for many years. I am currently employed at Beaulieu of America in Dalton, Georgia as VP Controller. I have been involved in the DISCIPLE Bible study program at Trinity since its inception and has been privileged to participate in and facilitate Bible studies in that program. My husband, Charles, is a member of the chancel choir and we are both members of the New Beginnings Sunday School class. My sister, Mary Jon Garrison is also in the congregation.

I have served as Sports Director since May 2009. I have extensive background in the Recreation/Wellness area most recently serving as Wellness Director for Philips Tower, a home of the Presbyterian Homes of Georgia. I have also served as Aquatics Coordinator for Health Place, Kennestone Hospital’s wellness center, and as an instructor at Emory at Oxford. I currently serve with the Women’s League of Bartow County. I have facilitated several Bible studies since moving to Bartow County including the Experiencing God class held at Trinity. My family moved to Bartow County in 2006 from Decatur, Ga. My husband, Byron, have three children. Our son, Casey, is a junior at Woodland High School. My daughter, Heather, and son-in-law, Robbie, followed us to Bartow in late 2007. IWe enjoy spending time with their four children. My step son, Chris, and wife, Kristy, live in Dothan, Alabama. They are the proud parents of David, who will be joined by a baby sister in April.
